This cavernous brick cellar is a maze of rooms and niches decorated with traditional kilims hanging from the walls. Huge servings of grilled lamb, beef, pork and even trout are here in abundance as well as hearty soups and stews and a great selection of wines and brandies from across the Caucasus region. Beer lovers won’t be disappointed either with Czech Budweiser and local Lāčplēsis on draught. A large smoking section is available for anyone who needs a cigarette with his or her shashlik.

  Everyone who wants a good experience in a cosy atmosphere, shoud visit Akhtamar in Riga.It takes time, to get the food, but i´m sure, it means that the food are freshly cooked. Even it takes time, to get the food, times go easy, in this nice cellar. The staff are very frinedly, and when you get your food,its fantastic...You gotta try it...
