  Lovely hot chocolate worth a visit. I do not know if they just moved or have more than one location but at least there is one Emihls Gustavs opposite of the Riga Hotel in Teâtra Iela.

  Unfortunately, they have filed for bankruptcy and may be on the way out. Sadly so, because they offer the best high-quality hand-made chocolate in town. Let's hope they survive somehow and continue to serve their excellent product for a while longer.

  Sinfully rich, I guess it is the best way how to describe the hot chocolate in there. And it is really a pity that they have stopped with the additions to this heavenly drink (although theoretically it might be possible to ask for it unofficially). My favourite used to be a pinch of chilli powder... the most wonderful boost after a long and tiring work day. And I will not even go on about the assortment of truffles and other dainties! But I do miss this thick and strong hot chocolate, the analogue to esspresso in the coffee world, here in the Netherlands, where the name "hot chocolate" will mean just a watery cocoa drink with or without a whipped cream topping.
