Part bar and part café, the oddly named Burga is located in a modern glass building and has a dark grey interior punctuated with hot pink couches along the walls and light hardwood floors with matching tables. You can order anything from breakfast food, pasta, local sausages and beer-marinated pork to non-Baltic dishes like grilled sardines. Reasonably priced Valmiermuiža and Tērvetes brews are available on draught or you can take your pick of excellent, affordable cocktails from classic mai tais, zombies and Singapore slings to cosmopolitans.
