Although the cosy cellar restaurant has plenty to offer, like duck liver in Champagne sauce or crispy catfish fillets, if the weather’s good you’d be mad not to take the lift up to its summer rooftop terrace. Not only does it offer excellent views of the square, it also has a great barbecue menu. Grilled steaks and pork chops don’t come cheap here, but you probably won’t mind after you’ve been hypnotised by the golden clock of Riga Cathedral just across the way.
