Run by the same people who brought you Ostas skati on the Left Bank and Garāža in the Berga Bazārs shopping arcade, Kitchen also has trendy leanings and is located on the ground floor of a renovated warehouse in the arty Spīķeri district behind the Central Market. The interior is grey and minimalist, and a little on the stiff side, but the private summer terrace with low-lying lounge chairs is relaxed and informal. The menu is simple and offers very few options, but this is in keeping with its philosophy of diners having to place their faith in the culinary prowess of the chefs who toil in the open plan kitchen.
