As far as we can tell, this is one of only two Jewish restaurants in Riga and although it’s a bit of a hike from Old Riga, if you’re into either Eastern European or Israeli-Hebrew cuisine, then look no further than Menorah. You can order anything from such classics as gefilte fish, falafel, latkes and hummus to local Slavic favourites like soļanka soup. Israeli wines are also on offer, but sadly no Maccabee beer, only Becks or Stella Artois in bottles. It offers plenty of vodka, though.

I found this restaurant accidently while walking from the The Tia Hotel To a supermarket. I made a right at a fork in the road by mistake and came upon the Menorah. I went back there for lunch today July 4th 2011. The dining room is very attractive the food was excellent and reasonably priced. I highly recommend this restaurant.J
