Tucked away in a charming Old Riga alleyway, this medieval-style restaurant is housed in a building that dates back to the 15th century. You can order any number of delicious dishes from classic Latvian pork knuckle, moose meat medallions and stewed rabbit to grilled eel, quail and lamb. For something more exotic, try the medieval feast for four that is cooked according to recipes from 1454. Plenty of local beer served in ceramic mugs is available as well as Latvian wine and homemade black currant or apple spirits. A picturesque terrace is located outside during summer, while the brick interior is decorated with memorabilia and hunting trophies.

Seriously? You guys need to clean up your act. You have a kick-ass location, and you´re treating it with utter disrespect and ignorance. The place itself SCREAMS of authentic history, while you squander it away on a) sub par cooking, b) allowing the idiot customers in the bar to "listen" to their eurotrash music on their f**king iphones, on loudspeaker mode, so the poor guy who´s performing live medieval music get flooded with that filth as well, and c) you don´t have a clue. Period. I have seen a lot of medieval bars etc around the world, and you are the saddest one. Not because you´re the worst, but because you don´t know what you have, and because of what you DON´T represent, in even the most understanding definition of the word. In short, you have no medieval soul. Please ....... get reincarnated as proper guardians of a place that can boast a 600 years old history.
