Not unlike the Orange revolution that pointed Ukraine in a westward direction, this once Soviet-style restaurant was closed for business for a month only to emerge from its aging cocoon a bright, inviting café. The waitresses wear traditional shirts, the old tables and chairs have been replaced by ornately carved furniture and the tasty, authentic food, despite the renovations, is just as cheap as it used to be. Order and pay at the bar.
