This place is popular among young people, the thrifty, those seeking enlightenment and, of course, vegetarians because it’s one of the cheapest places to fill your belly in Riga and owned by the Krishnas. The rice, cabbage and tofu dishes, often seasoned with curry, chilli and saffron, range in taste from bland to delicious. Proceeds from the restaurant go to feed the poor, so eat plenty, eat often and help support two great causes - the homeless and your wallet.
John 11 August 2009 I'm pretty sure the yellow spice you mean in Rama's case is turmeric, not saffron. They don't throw high-food-cost items much at Rama (except for rich dairy). Otherwise spot-on.
