We’re not sure if Riga is ready for the raw food movement just yet, but we applaud the courage it took to open a vegetarian bistro that serves gluten and lactose-free food that’s never cooked above 45°C here in one of the most carnivorous corners of Europe. Stock up on all the lukewarm non-GMO vitamins and antioxidants you can stand in two stylish rooms decorated in light green and magenta tones. A two-course meal with tea is also available and all of the apples and veggies used are grown at a local organic farm. Although not exactly ‘lawn in a bowl’ as Miranda Hobbes so famously described raw food in an episode of Sex in the City, we still had to grab a burger afterward.
