This huge mall has pretty much the same women's and men's clothing, sports and shoe shops as the other large shopping malls in Riga but it does offer a wide selection of restaurants, a fast food court and a cinema. The Rimi hypermarket is open from 08:00 - 23:00. Take tram N°6 from Barona to the Alfa stop.

Alfa is not so special shop for tourists. It´s maybe the most popular shopping center here among the locals. In fact it´s never good to think to find something special and unique from these shopping centers. Nothing special and international chains mostly. better are small individual shops in Barona iela for example. In old town you can find unique things and "waste" money to overpriced products.
The mall was suprisingly disapointing, considering all guides etc claims that this mall is the best one in Riga. Yes, there are a huge amount of shops, but the shops are all low price/low quality so even though I consider myself to have a black belt in shopping, I ended up buying only a sweater. Not going back there, cause there are better alternatives down town (Gallery Shopping Centre for instance)
