For a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it destination like Birštonas, eating out is surprisingly good. Although the international choices are all to be found inside the town’s hotels, the food they serve is generally of a relatively high standard. The town’s only Lithuanian restaurant of note is sadly well out of the centre, and the pizza place in the main square is, for a town of just 3,000 souls, surprisingly good. The only nightlife that doesn’t involve drinking beer from a bottle in the park is generally to be found inside the restaurants listed here.
