A map of Druskininkai is well worth packing before you set off, although many hotels and the Tourist Information Centre do have a few free, if not particularly detailed, copies. Most bookshops and large supermarkets in Vilnius and Kaunas stock them. Recommended is the small red one published by Briedis, which also includes a map of the region and costs less that 10Lt. The map references in the print version of this guide refer to this map. Many of the places listed in this guide only accept cash, so be sure to carry some with you at all times. The bus station doesn’t have an ATM, although there are plenty in town.
