Everything from exclusive white tablecloth dining to the classic Soviet-era valgykla awaits visitors to Lithuania’s second city. With very few exceptions service is if not appalling then at least indifferent, so if you want to have a good time eating in the city your best option is to leave your Western expectations at home or take a few friends along to cushion the blow. What’s the point in travelling somewhere different if everything’s the same anyway? Tipping is only necessary in better restaurants and places where you feel it’s deserved. The norm is around 10 per cent, or you can simply round up the bill.

I stumbled upon the Grand Café which is within walking distance of the Great Military Museum. This modern friendly restaurant offers not only a great Alfresco dining area and restaurant but the food is of a exceptionally high standard....Miesto Sodas

Strong suggestion, do not go to this place.You'll find only junk food at double price there. There's nice casino/cafe close to it, with the professional approach to food/serving and lower price (twice)....Pas Stanley
Have just spent 3 days in Kaunas mostly in the Old Town which is packed with restaurants and bars. Pas Stanley is undoubtfully the most popular restaurant/bar of them all....Bernelių Užeiga
