An old Kaunas favourite, not least during the summer when they open a large terrace overlooking the park and Kaunas State Musical Theatre next door. The international menu of good value meals includes knockout steaks, fish, pasta and a few Lithuanian dishes. In keeping with the current craze sweeping the nation, Miesto Sodas organises a regular pub quiz every Wednesday at 19:00. The orange grand piano in the corner gets played from time to time by a serious-looking man with a penchant for 1970s kitsch.

The service in Miesto Soldas was better than average and everything happened quite fast. The pork tenderloin was excellent, as well as the salad accompanying it. My friends chicken Kiev was greasy and quite tasteless. We would still recommend this place.
I've been to Miesto Sodas on Laives Aleja probably 50 times between 1999 and 2005. It was one of my favorite places for lunch in Kaunas. Reasonably priced good food and drinks, a pleasant atmosphere, with fairly good service.
