Looking like a diner on a space station, this combined restaurant and jazz club pleases visually but is a total disappointment when it comes to what they do both in the kitchen and on the stage. For a city that can claim the best of the country’s jazz festivals, a menu featuring ‘crispy chicken cauliflower cream and three taste sauce’ (the mind, and the stomach, boggles) and live events including Frank Sinatra tribute nights, Pappa Jazz’s saccharine environment will be a sad disappointment for anyone wanting a real jazz club experience. Nil points.
