Perkūno Namai

There’s evidence of a new lease of life at Perkūno Namai, and not a moment too soon. Finally ditching their kudos based on an award won in the distant past, this hotel restaurant slightly out of the centre has at long last caught up with the present. The menu of good international food with a few interesting twists changes twice a year, plus there’s a regular weekly get-together for local foodies and wine-lovers on Friday evenings. Best of all perhaps is the garden setting. If you can drag yourself up the hill (when you’re in the area to visit Sugihara House for example) and the weather’s fine, this really is worth checking out.
