Kaunas’ first Japanese restaurant, Yakata’s interior has been designed to resemble a typical Japanese trading ship. The admirable menu ventures far beyond the usual sushi, offering a wide range of classic dishes using a lot of fresh ingredients. Perhaps not quite up to the standard of similar restaurants found in other parts of the world, eating here in ones and twos isn’t recommended, but for a group of people looking for something a little different the place is most certainly recommended.
