Lithuania’s largest producer of alcoholic spirits started making vodka in 1906 in a factory built in Kaunas at the personal decree of Nicholas II, and has been manufacturing it and other spirits almost without a break to this day. Located just behind the bus station, the factory features a small museum that makes up part of a bigger tour of the factory that shows how their products are made. Like all good alcohol-production tours, the excursion ends with a tasting session. The museum also has a small shop where products made in the factory can be bought. All visits must be booked in advance.
