An interesting journey through the history of the country’s communications industry, this intriguing museum starts with letters penned in Latin by Grand Duke Gediminas on the subject of the founding of Vilnius in the 14th century and goes on to highlight everything from uniforms worn by postmen in bygone days to a Soviet-era telephone exchange made in Latvia. The examples of old telephones are particularly worth a view, although a lack of English explanations runs the risk of making what could be a particularly good museum a slight disappointment to visitors who don’t speak Lithuanian.
