As a moderately busy holiday and business destination, Klaipėda’s accommodation scene is healthy if not exactly thriving, with quality and choice ranging from humble campsites to sparkling business-class amenities complete with trouser presses and Jacuzzis. In scenes reminiscent of March 1939, the city is invaded every summer by scores of Germans, during which time finding a bed can be difficult. Add to that the Sea Festival, when every pillow in the city is taken, booking in advance is highly recommended.
