A small plaque outside the Lithuanian Customs building marks the spot where the KGB once had their headquarters in Klaipėda. Not quite up to the standards of its counterpart in the capital, the KGB Memorial Room features a simple 12-metre square former prison cell complete with a bed and little else where prisoners were once kept. To give them time to find somebody to get the key and open up it’s advised to telephone in advance.
