Arriving by plane

Palanga’s microscopic airport is immediately north of the town on the main coast road to Latvia. Flights are few and far between just Copenhagen, Moscow, Oslo and Riga served and even then not throughout the year. Taxis can be found waiting outside the main entrance. A skilful negotiator can get to town for little more than 10Lt, although you’ll almost certainly find yourself paying at least three times this amount for the short journey.
