The city’s former Inturist monstrosity has now been brought almost fully up to scratch courtesy of some much needed repairs, refits and replacements of staff and is now vying for attention as one of the finest hotels in the city. True they’ve still got an in-house hairdresser, but if you don’t mind the occasional historical hiccup you’re in for a treat. Rooms come in all shapes and sizes with the better ones coming with internet connections, flatscreen televisions and DVD players. Found on the city’s main pedestrian street, the rooms further up the building afford some wonderful views of Šiauliai spread out below.
