Southern Germany meets the fall of the Roman Empire inside a modern shopping centre no less. It’s all lederhosen, gurgling fountains and the strains of oom-pa-pa here, providing a worryingly authentic version of Lithuania circa 1943. One of the best places in town for large groups, the menu has been thoughtfully designed with lots of colour photographs of the food, which is really rather good indeed. Little touches like dressing on the salad make all the difference here, although the German beer they brew on the premises could be better. Avoid the dark one at all costs. It’s quite undrinkable.
