Come to Šiauliai, don’t come here, and consider yourself a sinner. Arguably the city’s most famous if not notorious establishment, Juonė Pastuogė’s genius is manifold. Essentially your classic, wood-encrusted, folksy traditional Lithuanian restaurant and bar, find it bristling with hardcore bumpkins of every persuasion, hell-bent on stuffing their faces with
cepelinai and pigs’ ears and bouncing around on the tiny upstairs dance floor to the rhythms of the live folk bands who play here so often. Summertime sees two outdoor courtyards open for even more adventures. Highly recommended.
