Unveiled on October 1, 2006 to celebrate both the 770th anniversary of the city as well as the completion of the renovation of the square it stands in, Lithuanian sculptor Gintautas Lukošaitis’ abstract creation echoes the city’s miscellaneous associations with the sun and is already serving as a useful place to meet. It’s construction is such that the reflections it casts provide hours of endless entertainment, proving there’s more to it than first meets the eye.
