Completed in 1927 and the work of the Latvian architect Karolis Reisonas who designed many of Lithuania's classic interwar buildings, the former majestic home of the lawyer and political figure Kazimieras Venclauskis (1880-1940) and his actress wife Stanislava (1874-1958) opened as a museum in 1995 but has since fallen on hard times and now functions only as an administration building, although those with an interest in the subjects surrounding their extraordinary lives can visit and search the archives. A sculpture of Kazimieras, unveiled in 2005, can be found in the overgrown garden.
