Opened in 1990 to an unsuspecting world who still can’t quite get over the shock, Šiauliai’s quirkiest museum by far features over 10,000 cats manifest in every possible material from ceramics to postcards to stained glass. Pointless unless you’re bonkers about cats or just plain bonkers, the museum also includes a couple of rooms filled with animals including an albino python and a glass tank full of cockroaches. Located just east of the city centre, follow the broken road until you reach what looks like a school on the corner on the right.
