At last a restaurant in Vilnius where everything is done in order to make the customer come back! Food was quality and portions were largely enough. Moreover, we came with children and the kids ate something balanced and tasty at the same time, whic[...]
  • Борщ!
Absolutely amazing! Great, fast, service and great food. Nice menu. Borsch (the food) is authentic and very good.[...]
  • Stikliai
Stikliai's cuisine certainly qualifies as fine dining, but thankfully the atmosphere is very friendly and informal. I've had very friendly waiters every time I have eaten here, not to mention excellent food. In my experience the waiters have always [...]
  • Tres Mexicanos
Excellent service from a very good-natured young Lithuanian woman who was helpful to some other customers in achieving a Wifi connection in the restaurant as well as serving up the food. Nice informal atmosphere and good menu selection. Kind of wond[...]
  • Bistro 18
I've been eating here for a couple of years and enjoying the experience every time. I was there about two weeks ago, but it seems like the menu selection seemed old. The food was certainly still good, but maybe the menu could use a new dish or two t[...]
  • Čili Kaimas
We really enjoyed our meal here and it was probably one of the best we had in Lithuania. The food is pretty cheap and they have a very wide selection - a great place to try some local Lithuanian food![...]
  • Tres Mexicanos
The food here is ok, but watch out if you order wine! we ordered what we thought were two glasses of fairly expensive wine. What they don't tell you is that the price on the menu is only for half a glass so we had a nasty surprise when we got the bi[...]
  • Bistro 18
Dined at Bistro 18 twice in May and on both occasions the food was excellent. Staff were attentive and all smiled at you, not a common experience in some restaurants in Vilnius! Try booking the little wine room at the entrance, secluded yes but if y[...]
  • Sue's Indian Raja
I simply could not believe that an Indian restaurant this good exists in Vilnius. The lamb vindaloo I ate was sensational: both the sauce and the lamb itself. The onion bhajis make the mouth water just remembering them. If you eat in one ethnic rest[...]
  • Grill Brazil
Totally agree with the review. Grill Brazil has it all. Good food, good value, good fun, good service. Level of English is excellent and the waiters just do not stop bringing the food to your table. Atmosphere is a bit chaotic, but that is because i[...]
  • Saint Germain
St Germain is one of the reasons I am returning to Vilnius for my eighth visit ori is it ninth?) in four and a half years. But I wish I could find the restaurant's website and/or e-mail address, so I could verify how late its kitchen is open.[...]

Quite agree with two previous speakers.[...]

  • Achtamar
We went there for dinner last weekend and I found the service excellent - just as this review says. Among the 4 of us we tried a good sampling of the menu and nothing disappointed, while some dishes (don't overlook an assortment of the appetizers as[...]

Restaurants & Cafés

With a few amusing disasters and the occasional appalling exception, eating out in Vilnius is both excellent and relatively affordable for all. The city’s restaurants and cafés literally cater to taste buds of every persuasion, offering everything from vast plates of potato-based local specialities to a surprisingly wide and generally palatable concoction of dishes from the kitchens of such far away places as India and Brazil. Service continues to be the main stumbling block even in the most aristocratic of eateries, and is easily the subject from which the majority of visitors gain the most displeasure. Although the bulk of restaurants worth visiting can be found within the city centre, the suburbs also offer a few treats, which we list when we feel that the plaudits is deserving. Tipping, if deserved, is up to the diner, with 10 per cent or a rounding up of the bill both being acceptable.
