Round-up the kids (borrow some if you haven't got your own) and pop along for outdoor family fun and half-decent barbeque food. The kids can dangle from play equiptment and fall into the river while the grown-ups can sit at tables made from logs and pretend not to notice. Get in early for river-side seating on the huge balcony. Not the best value, and meals are small, but the surroundings make up for it. About a 20Lt taxi ride to get there from Old Town.

  The best restaurant I find in Lithuania. A very nice ambiente (we think that means 'ambiance' - Ed.) and a high quality meal and drinking.
