An angular experience with plenty of creamy shades and exposed wooden features, this simple offering not only keeps the décor to a minimum but also doesn’t get carried away with the menu. The recommended dishes on offer include a recently eaten plate of miniature fishcakes that despite their laughable size tasted superb. There’s an extensive wine list too. A good choice for those wanting to impress without breaking the bank.

This trendy Scandinavian-style restuarant was quite a find on a bitterly cold Tuesday night in Vilnius. In temperatures approaching -22 it's warm ambiance was just what the doctor ordered. It's located on the first floor of a building on the square in front of the rather grand looking Town Hall and you could easily walk past it without knowing it was there. It offers a very limited menu in very stylish surroundings. Just good food cooked well. I skipped the tasty looking starters and had the steak with paprika - cooked perfectly to order - and a delicious panne cotta with wild berries for dessert. Service was brisk and efficient and a glass of moneral water was served on arrival and replensihed throughout the meal free of charge. The punters seemed to be a fairly well-to-do fashionable crowd and the restaurant was busy despite it being so early in the week. I imagine it gets chock-a-block at weekends when you may need to book. You can sit at either a table or grab a stool at the massive wooden topped table in front of the bar.I'd definitely recommend you give this gaff a go if you're in Vilnius and you like good simple food.
