Girls in folk costumes ferry an assortment of average Lithuanian and international dishes to a clientele of mostly local diners. The exposed antique ceiling and emphasis on the fact that the building is very old are used by the management as their key marketing tools, rather than anything useful such as the standard of the service (average) and the quality of the food (average). Intrigued by their blanket ban on photography, we called and asked them why. It appears that taking photographs puts the other diners off, although they did add that they were prepared to break the embargo in return for a handsome tip. Isn’t that called bribery?

Location and pretty indoor/outdoor setting is the only thing they could boast about. They offer medium tasting Lithuanian dishes and completely dismal other dishes. Their idea of a salad is several pieces of greens laying separately on a plate. We waited for our check for one hour. Dvaras around the corner is a much better deal.
