Sightseeing

Vilnius can and quite rightly does claim to contain the finest examples of Baroque architecture north of Rome, and this alone is reason enough to visit. Plus there are scores of other sights of interest to keep visitors busy for a month, the very best of them listed here.

Essential Vilnius
If you haven’t got a lot of time in Vilnius, the Cathedral, Gates of Dawn, Gediminas Castle & Museum, KGB Museum and St. Anne’s Church are generally considered to be the major sights. This list is of course highly subjective, and in no way reflects the expectations of every single visitor to the city. Vilnius In Your Pocket strives to bring you the widest range of historical and cultural sights and sensations, and is adding to the list all the time. If you think there’s something missing, write to us and let us know.
