Excellent value accommodation inside the imposing House of Polish Culture, don't expect sweets on the pillow or a trouser press but do be assured that if you're looking for good looking, clean rooms with en suite facilities and wireless internet for a bargain price, this is well worth considering. A bit of a distance from the centre at the end of the N°13 trolleybus route, extras include sauna, gym, guarded parking and, the clincher perhaps, awakening.

If we had to recommend a hotel for the Dalai Lama (we’re good mates, you see) we’d probably put this near the top of the list. The lovely honey and burgundy colour scheme would make his holiness feel right at home. He wouldn’t have to worry about forgetting his toothbrush, because they provide those for you, along with other brushes for shoes, and robes. There are two standards of rooms – the larger ones with embarrassingly large bathrooms – all delicately decorated and replete with all you could need. 24 hour security, the quiet fuss of attentive staff and a cosy little restaurant add to the sense of serenity and calm in what really is an exquisite little exile.
