It failed as a café and one wonders if it’s going to do any better as a wine bar and shop. The canteen feel to the place hardly does it any credit plus it’s ever-so slightly off the beaten track. Word on the street is that it’s generally empty, although this may change as time marches on.
Just back from Vilnius Found very nice wine barBurbulio Vynine had good wine and nice staffIt was on way back to our hotel so a great finish of the night Owner Vaidotas let us sample wine and we could stay as long as we liked
Well Burbulio vyninė never was a cafe - they opened about a year ago and it always was a wine bar and a shop ;) The things I personally like about Burbulio vyninė - they have quite a wide range of wines from quite cheap to more expensive ones but all the wines I tasted so far (and the oders I heard about) I really liked (and they have a nice spirits menu also). Secondly - the owner is usually every evening there himself and he is a nice guy willing to share his knowledge of wine (and he speaks quite a few foreign languages - foreigners will always be understood) and that creates very relaxed and cozy atmosphere (and the two bartenders are very friendly and helpful). I really like that they stay open until they have clients - no pointing at the clock and showing doors there ) And they are pet friendly (which is still quite a rare thing in Lithuania). Of course if you want noisy place packed with people you better walk away but if you want a quality time in a nice cozy places where you can feel like in a middle of a good friends' get-together - walk in and you won't be disapointed )
