Tappo D'oro

Hidden away between the Cathedral and the President’s Palace, this little gem adds yet another string to the maestro’s bow also known as contemporary Vilnius. Hitching a ride on the coat tails of the city’s current obsession with wine bars and gourmet food, Tappo D’oro is part wine bar and part delicatessen. As well as a chilled cabinet full of speciality meats, cheese and olives, find a tastefully decorated drinking area complete with a long list of Italian wines. Massively busy in 2010, the owners have gone and opened a second bar in the heart of Old Town. Also at Vokiečių 8.

This is a great little place, it has the best selection of wines I have seen in Vilnius (and I have visited nearly 30 times). Nice food, very attentive, pleasant and friendly staff and overall a warm atmosphere that makes you want to stay. It is no wonder it is busy most of the time. I would recommend this place to groups, large or small or individuals just content to people watch or read a good book while imbiding of some pleasant wine.
