Named after the Soviet-era name of the street it stands on and a constant source of irritation for Lithuanians who don’t understand history, Gorky is now fully up and running as both a bar and club, of which the latter can be found downstairs. Hugely popular with people born around the time the street was renamed, weeknights are arguably the best time to visit when there’s room to breathe and no need to shout to be heard. The addition of the club however has unfortunately meant it’s more than likely you’ll be asked to pay to enter during the weekends, which wouldn’t be so bad if they hired security staff who hadn't been brought up by wild animals.
