Vilnius University Zoological Museum [Vilniaus Universiteto Zoologijos Muziejus]

Housed inside a glorious building worth having a look inside on its own, find literally thousands of species of molluscs, crustaceans, fish, reptiles, mammals, bones and a beautiful collection of 716 bird species. Guided tours including some really good stories behind some of the exhibits are worth trying to organise. A pig to find, go through the main entrance doors, turn right, head down the corridor, take the metal steps on the left to the top floor, turn right and it’s on your left. The building also contains a small museum of geology on the 2nd floor and a similarly diminutive collection of plants and herbs on the 1st.

Admission free.
