How to get there
By carDrivers from Vilnius take the main A2 in the direction of Ukmergė, then the A6 all the way past Utena and keep following the signs. If you're driving from Ignalina, simply drive north out of town on Vilniaus and, again, follow the signs. All other drivers should buy a decent map, which is highly recommended in Lithuania whether one is trying to get to Zarasai or otherwise.
By busThe bus station comes complete with a large waiting room, a toilet complete with (gasp) a ramp for wheelchair users, and a few taxis hovering around. The main square is a 10-minute walk straight down Savanorių. Here you'll find ATMs, tourist information and the best restaurant in town, Monopolis.
