Macedonia claims the somewhat erroneous title of having been the first country in the world to boast 100% wireless internet access. We haven’t tried it at the top of the mountains, but there’s certainly plenty of hotspots (some for free, some you have to pay for) in Skopje. The city also boasts one of the most extraordinary-looking post offices on the planet, worthy of attention on the outside for it ridiculous shape as well as the classic huge murals of Yugoslavian heroes adorning the walls inside
