Podgorica In Your Pocket

Podgorica In Your Pocket
With a handful of quirky sights, thousands of students, a lively nightlife scene, decent hotels and transport connections, Podgorica is not that bad a place to spend a day or two. Podgorica has a reputation as a party city, and it's no problem for visitors to make friends in one of the city's many cafés, bars and clubs.

Inland, we feature the northern mountain towns of Žabljak, gateway to the Tara gorge and numerous adventure sport activities, and Kolašin, the base for trips to the stunning Biogradska National Park. Both towns have hiking and good quality and affordable skiing nearby, and have accommodation for all budgets. These two chapters were created in collaboration with USAID.

Finally, closer to Podgorica we highlight the magnificent Ostrog monastery, one of the main spiritual and tourist attractions in the country.
