Podgorica In Your Pocket

Podgorica In Your Pocket
With a handful of quirky sights, thousands of students, a lively nightlife scene, decent hotels and transport connections, Podgorica is not that bad a place to spend a day or two in winter. As the pretty coastal cities across the Balkans sink into deep winter slumber, Podgorica lives up to its reputation of party city, and it's no problem for visitors to make friends in one of the city's many cafés, bars and clubs. Now, Podgorica In Your Pocket has many new reviews, reflecting the pace of change in the restaurant and nightlife scene.

We're also proud to present two new sections in collaboration with USAID, featuring the northern mountain towns of Žabljak, gateway to the Tara gorge and numerous adventure sport activities, and Kolašin, the base for trips to the stunning Biogradska National Park. Both towns have good quality and affordable skiing nearby, and have accommodation for all budgets. Finally, closer to Podgorica we highlight the magnificent Ostrog monastery, one of the main spiritual and tourist attractions in the country.
