Armagh County Museum

Armagh County Museum
Set in a 19th century schoolhouse overlooking the Mall and celebrating its 150th anniversary, this delightful little museum covers all aspects of Armagh life from prehistoric times to contemporary local art.

Wedding dresses, military memorabilia, taxidermied beasts and a display on Ireland's worst railway disaster convey the diversity of this rich collection.

Directions:
  • From Belfast exit at junction 11 from the M1. Follow the signs through Portadown for Armagh. From Dublin, follow signs for Newry then Armagh. On entering the city, the Museum is located about half-way along the Mall East, between the old gaol and the courthouse.
