This series of guided tours, organised by Ards Tourism, explores the heritage, history and scenic beauty of Strangford Lough and the Ards Peninsula. The programme includes walking, coach and boat tours and are all escorted by experienced registered guides. You can take a boat trip on Strangford Lough from Portaferry, visit the Copeland Island bird sanctuary from picturesque Donaghadee harbour or experience the historic sites of Newtownards, Comber and Donaghadee on one of the regular walking tours. Coach tours include visits to stately homes, Christian Heritage sites such as Nendrum and Grey Abbey, the historic TT racing circuit and the birthplace of the designer of ill-fated Titanic - both in Comber. Themed events and tours with Valhalla Street Theatre are also part of the programme and include murder mystery evenings, Midsummer Happenings at Scrabo Tower and Halloween Ghost tours. Brochures are available form Tourism Information Centres throughout Northern Ireland.
