Portaferry

Portaferry
Home to Exploris aquarium and NI's most scenic ferry ride, Portaferry is a picturesque village perched at the end of the Ards Peninsula.

The Tourist Information Centre (seasonal)  is located beside Portaferry Castle - a small 16th century Tower house in varying degrees of ruin.

Follow the road signs to Windmill Hill for bird's eye views of the village and Strangford Lough.

Or take the Bar Hall Rd to the National Trust-owned Ballyquintin Farm for scenic walks and more great views across Strangford, the Mourne Mountains and Isle of Man.

Tourist Information Centre: open Mon-Sat: 10:00-17:00, Sun: 14:00-18-00
