The MAC [Metropolitan Arts Centre]

Dominating one side of Saint Anne's Square, this six-storey brick, glass, concrete and basalt colossus has enhanced Belfast's artistic offering with three art galleries, two theatres and cafe.

World-class local and international performances and exhibitions populate its cultural calendar. While a dance studio, workshop space and The Den, a specially designated area for young people, encourage further creativity. The MAC has been hailed as "one of Europe’s most significant arts centres" - and its April 2012 opening is nothing short of a landmark event for 21st century Belfast.
