Old Inn***

Old Inn
Five miles from Belfast, in the sleepy village of Crawfordsburn, sits one of Ireland's oldest hotels. Established in 1614, former guests range from Van Morrison to Tsar Peter the Great. The hotel itself oozes olde world charm both inside and out with open fires, exposed beams, thatched roof and whitewashed walls. Rooms are named after local landmarks and wild flowers and some have dramatic four-poster beds. If you're feeling really romantic, try the self-contained cottage. The restaurants and bar have long been a haven for both locals and guests, and the hotel itself is hugely popular with local wedding parties.
