Skip on past Starbucks and experience an authentic taste of real Belfast at this long-established (we're talking 80 years) cafe/bakery. Soups, stews, sandwiches, salads and sausage rolls shore up the regular clientele eager for some
honest-to-goodness home cooking. Not only is it totally unpretentious, but its excellent value and unbeatable city centre location ensure this coffee house a place in local folklore.

WORST CAFE EVER! ordered a sausage roll and a coffee and my boyfriend ordered a chicken tikka panini and a coke! my sausage roll was little bigger than a coctail sausage roll and was soggy and clearly microwaved. his panini was was also just heated up and contained two thin slices of chicken in and with tikka mayonase and a miserable amount of lettuce on the side. his coke came in a small plastic cup and tasted like american cola and was flat. my coffee was also served in a tiny cup- slightly larger than an espresso serving. we were asked did we wanted any sauces and we orddered ketchup and sweet chilli. when we went to pay for what we though should cost 6 pound according to the menu it cost 8.20- we realised they had also cahrged us at least 60p each for a scoop of each sauce. all in all we left still very hungry and would never go back. i wanted to complain when i was there but i though i would get angry so left it. for 8.20 we could have went to doorsteps and got large sandwhiches each. i would NEVER reccomend this cafe.
Popped into Campbells today, as i wanted to get out from work for half an hour and read my book with a decent cuppa and a tasty chocolate cup-cake! It's a lovely old-school, no nonsense spot, perfect for days when you want time-out with out the fuss and good value. I'm going to be a regular i feel :)
