Lee Garden

If you like your Sweet and Sour Chicken or Stir Fried Seafood served in spacious, chic surroundings then this fixture on the local Chinese scene will definitely impress. Light pours into the open plan atrium from the restaurant's two storey glass ediface, and delicately spiralling lights cascade from its high ceiling. Wooden floors and brightly coloured leather seating exude 21st Century class, and the private function room with karaoke ensures wayward warblers don't disturb the rest of the diners. Already a big hit with the locals and Chinese community... what more endorsement do you need?

I had booked a table for Mothers Day and lets just say i need not have bothered as it was empty. the staff were very slow and rather rude. At the end of an all right meal we were hit with a 10% service charge! When challanged as there was only 5 at our table, we were told the 10% service charge was because it was mothers day!!!!! The place was empty!!!! And there was nothing special as in flowers on the table or a special menu, NOTHING! All in all a very disapointing experience and we wont be back.

ah!! well we at In Your Pocket are fans of Lee Garden- and many a sober and drunk night spent there!!- and everyone who we have invited to dine there is of that opinion. We found the food to be delicious (ask for the duck tongue!!!), service brilliant- and we ADORE the Karaoke room!- perfect for that post-dining "Im too drunk to sing" experience- to be fair, its a great relaxing place to go pre partying- or for a nice romantic meal. Get some friends together and enjoy!!

Looks nice, but that's about it. Sweet chili beef was a disgrace 0/5. Duck was ok 3/5. Honey chick 2/5. Not good value for money. And they tried upselling to the max. Should have known as we were there on a Saturday night and it was practically empty. Attentive yet annoying staff. Look elsewhere for a better Chinese experience.
