The award-festooned entrance indicates the success this East Belfast restaurant has achieved since opening in 1998. Though not centrally located, its just a 10min car trip from the city centre and a 2008 revamp saw it open for afternoon scones and the like on weekdays.  Seafood and game are specialities.

    Have been a loyal customer of Aldens since it opened, having spent many memorable enjoyable evenings and special occasions in the restaurant. Unfortunately we have noticed the service deteriorating. The service has lost its polish and style and it deteriorates rapidly after the main course is served. I have written to the Manager and Owner twice, trying to get a response to a complaint and they have totally ignored the letters. A telephone call to the Manager got a response of indifference. There seems to be no recognition for loyal customers. I will not be back.
